Share with:

\n {onlineUsers.map(username => (\n handleSharePost(post.id, username)}\n >\n ${username}\n$ \n {username}\n \n ))}\n

\n \n

\n)}\n\nThen, add CSS for the share modal.\n\nIn styles.css, add:\n\n.share-modal {\n position: fixed;\n top: 0;\n left: 0;\n width: 100%;\n height: 100%;\n background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);\n display: flex;\n align-items: center;\n justify-content: center;\n z-index: 1000;\n}\n\n.share-modal-content {\n background: var(--secondary);\n padding: 20px;\n border-radius: 8px;\n max-width: 400px;\n width: 90%;\n}\n\n.online-users-list {\n display: flex;\n flex-direction: column;\n gap: 8px;\n margin: 10px 0;\n}\n\n.user-share-button {\n display: flex;\n align-items: center;\n gap: 10px;\n background: var(--background);\n border: none;\n padding: 8px;\n border-radius: 4px;\n color: var(--text);\n cursor: pointer;\n}\n\n.user-share-avatar {\n width: 24px;\n height: 24px;\n border-radius: 50%;\n}\n\n.cancel-share {\n margin-top: 10px;\n background: var(--primary);\n color: white;\n border: none;\n padding: 8px 16px;\n border-radius: 4px;\n cursor: pointer;\n}\n\nThis handles the UI for sharing a post.\n\nNext, in the UserProfile component, add a new tab for shared posts.\n\nModify the UserProfile's tabs to include a 'Shared' tab.\n\nIn the profile-tabs section:\n\nAdd:\n

setActiveTab('shared')}\n>\n Shared\n

\nThen, in the user-content, handle the activeTab 'shared' case.\n\nIn the UserProfile component's JSX, for the user-content:\n\n{activeTab === 'shared' ? (\n // Render shared posts\n) : ...}\n\nTo get shared posts for the user:\n\nIn the UserProfile, add:\n\nconst sharedPostsFilter = React.useMemo(\n () => room.collection('shared_post').filter({ recipient: username }),\n [username]\n);\n\nconst sharedPosts = React.useSyncExternalStore(\n sharedPostsFilter.subscribe,\n () => sharedPostsFilter.getList() || []\n);\n\nThen, map through sharedPosts and retrieve the corresponding post from the posts collection.\n\nAssuming that posts are accessible via React.useSyncExternalStore, wait, the UserProfile component might need to subscribe to the 'post' collection to get all posts.\n\nAlternatively, have a posts state variable:\n\nconst posts = React.useSyncExternalStore(\n room.collection('post').subscribe,\n () => room.collection('post').getList() || []\n);\n\nThen, for each sharedPost in sharedPosts, find the post where post.id === sharedPost.post_id.\n\nSo, in the JSX for the 'shared' tab:\n\n

\n {sharedPosts.map(sharedPost => {\n const post = posts.find(p => p.id === sharedPost.post_id);\n if (!post) return null;\n return (\n

\n {post.imageUrl ? (\n $\"Post$ \n ) : (\n

{post.content}

\n )}\n

\n Shared by {sharedPost.sender}\n

\n );\n })}\n

\nThis displays the shared posts as thumbnails with the sender's info.\n\nAdditionally, add some styling for the shared-by text.\n\nIn styles.css:\n\n.shared-by {\n position: absolute;\n bottom: 5px;\n left: 5px;\n background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);\n color: white;\n padding: 4px 8px;\n border-radius: 4px;\n font-size: 12px;\n}\n\nAlso, activate in the user-posts-grid the position: relative, so that shared-by is positioned correctly.\n\n.post-thumbnail {\n position: relative;\n ...existing styles...\n}\n\nTo Summarize:\n\n1. Add share button to posts in Posts component.\n2. Implement a modal to select online users.\n3. Create 'shared_post' records when sharing.\n4. Display shared posts in UserProfile under a new 'Shared' tab.\n5. Update styles for share components.\n\nNow, applying these changes to the code.\n\n```app.js\n```\n\n```styles.css\n```\n","page_description","The page is structured for a chat room application, consisting of various components tailored for real-time messaging.
