\n\n\n2) Update your existing Paw adapter (two tiny hooks)\n\nAdd these two new listeners into the Monkey Paw adapter I gave you earlier (or merge if you already pasted it):\n\n\n\nThat’s it. After the tutorial completes, the Monkey Paw button appears in the bottom-right. Clicking it opens your Paw page with animation, and the handshake keeps the state in sync. No command entry required.\n\n⸻\n\nQuick sanity checklist\n\t•\tIn ULS ULS_CONFIG:\n\t•\tMONKEYPAW_URL: 'https://websim.com/p/7qg637rv4g5cqzmhqeux' (your posted Paw link)\n\t•\tIn ULS tutorial code:\n\t•\tIt fires eventBus.publish('tutorial.completed') when done. (This is what reveals the button.)\n\t•\tIn Paw page:\n\t•\tPaste the handshake script.\n\t•\tIf you have a modal/toggle, wire openModal() and closeModal() in the open / close message branches.\n\nIf you want, I can also give you a tiny style snippet to make the Inventory button match your UI, or expand Inventory into a panel with draggable items later.\n","link_url","/p/7qg637rv4g5cqzmhqeux","versioned_link_url","/p/7qg637rv4g5cqzmhqeux/14","yapping","**Integrating handshake script**\n\nI need to integrate the handshake script into index.html before the closing tag. I should also potentially expose functions to open and close the modal since our game has a modal result. The handshake will sync wishesLeft and utilize emitGrant/curse. I want to connect game events with these emissions and ensure to update game.js. It's crucial to manage the wishesGranted and wishesLeft properties correctly, reflecting changes in the game's state effectively.\n**Implementing modal controls**\n\nI can call emitGrant for each wish since the game allows 5 wishes, which should trigger the appropriate UI toggle. The handshake script needs to connect to our modal for opening and closing. When we show results, we can implement openModal and closeModal functions referenced in the script. It’s better to add these as global functions. The handshake script will manage UI state, and I should also respond to the user’s request by summarizing changes and providing necessary code updates.\n**Integrating emit functionality**\n\nI plan to add the handshake script and wire in emitGrant and emitCurse in game.js when a wish is granted or if there's an error, in which case I might call curse. For granting wishes, I'll use window.__MONKEYPAW_EMIT__.grant with the type 'custom' and provide a note summary. After showing results, emitting a curse with type 'sanity' might be beneficial too. I need to carefully manage when to disable the default curses to prevent duplication and ensure everything works smoothly.\n**Addressing curse logic**\n\nThe current setup suggests using a safe default to invoke a curse with setTimeout, but this flawed approach doesn’t check if a curse has occurred already. One way to mitigate this is by attempting to disable the default curse emission, though the script may not support this. Instead, we’ll just emit the grant after the last consequence is set. I’ll also need to implement a message listener in game.js to manage showing or hiding the modal when messages for 'open' and 'close' are received, ensuring proper UI updates.\n**Implementing message handling and updates**\n\nI'll implement a message listener in game.js to respond to 'open' by focusing on the wish input and showing a toast, and 'close' by hiding the modal using closeModal. I’ll create a handleExternalWish function to process incoming structured wishes. To keep my updates organized and compliant with the 10-line rule for code blocks, I’ll create a new file called handshake.js for the handshake script and reference it in index.html. I also need to add the necessary updates in game.js, including the grant emission and message listener.\n\nI will add a parent-page handshake adapter via a new handshake.js and wire grant events plus external wish/open/close message handling in game.js.\n\nindex.html\n\n```index.html\n```\n\nhandshake.js\n```handshake.js\n```\n\ngame.js\n```game.js\n```\n\ngame.js\n```game.js\n```\n\ngame.js\n```game.js\n```","page_description","cursor","eyJpZCI6IjdxZzYzN3J2NGc1Y3F6bWhxZXV4In0","token","included",[],"about",{"_201":-5},"parent","routes/browser/layout","actionData","errors"]
