Wave MIDI uses MidFm.js, its own JavaScript-based synthesis system, to turn MIDI notes into sound in real time. It features a collection of procedural instruments generated mathematically, including waveform synthesis, FM-style sounds, envelopes, harmonics, DPCM-like techniques, ADSR, and other experimental synthesis methods.
