BUGSY BE BLOGGIN’ // HOME TERMINAL

\n\n

Yo. Ultimate Bugsy here — Empire City’s most average dude alive™. Or at least, that’s what I tell myself when the radiator sings. I take odd jobs, eat questionable noodles, and try to keep the landlord from selling my closet to a vampire.

\n\n

I used to be able to call myself \"normal.\" Not super, not cursed, just… run-of-the-mill. But two weeks before what the City would later call The Incident, I started finding feathers—black, oddly warm when I held them. Two weeks after that, I woke up with wings. And now? Now something’s been following me.

\n\n

If you’re here, you’ll find my diaries: small, dumb job notes, weird sightings, and things I try to explain away with sarcasm. This is me talking to whoever's reading—probably some web crawler, maybe my future self. Either way, welcome.

First Night in Empire City — Jan 12, 2020

Got my apartment key today. Landlord said \"charm\" when the door fell off its hinges. I slept on the couch because the bed creaked like it was whispering secrets. Everything felt normal enough to be suspicious.

\n\n

Small Strange — Apr 7, 2020

Found a scratch on the underside of the building’s loading dock. Looked like a symbol—three lines and a curved wing. Might be nothing. Might be the start of nothing. Either way: took a photo. Stashed it in an old shoebox under the mattress.

The Alley Incident — Mar 9, 2022

Was walking back from a cleaning gig when I saw the light again—small, humming, like someone lit a match inside a jar. Heard my name in my head. Not cool. Not legal. Definitely not normal. Jotted the time on my arm; the ink wouldn’t wash out for two days.

\n\n

Pipes and Laughter — Aug 21, 2022

The building’s plumbing laughed last night. Neighbor thinks it’s bats. I think it’s practice for whatever’s coming. Either way, I slept with the lights on.

Feather in the Bed — Feb 2, 2023

Woke up and there it was—a black feather on my pillow. Didn’t feel cold. Felt like it had weight. Threw it in a drawer but kept thinking about the symbol under the loading dock. Maybe those things are connected. Maybe I’m just paranoid. Probably both.

\n\n

Shadow Stretch — Oct 11, 2023

Walking home and my shadow stretched like it was trying to keep up with someone behind me. I kept looking back and there was nothing but the neon. At the time I laughed it off. Now it feels like an invitation.

Okay So Uh… I Grew Wings This Morning — Nov 3, 2025

Woke up with shoulder pain like I’d slept on a box of nails. Looked in the mirror and—two black wings. Not cool. Not useful. Kind of dramatic though. Hoodies fit different now.

It’s Following Me — Dec 4, 2025

Something’s been trailing me for weeks. Tall. Too long. Arms that wobble like bad scanlines. It’s not what I expected to be scared of; I’m an average dude with bills. But this thing doesn’t care about bills.

Updated: December 2025 — New Activity

Alley lights stronger. Rooftop figures multiplied. Symbols under the city are reacting to… me? The feathers I found? The wings? Either way, the pattern’s getting louder. I’m getting drafted into something and I didn’t sign the paperwork.

Bugsy’s Odd Jobs List

\n\n

Escorted a haunted refrigerator out of an apartment building.
Delivered lunch to a guy who lives between two floors.
Babysat a toddler who could teleport when upset.
Retrieved a cat from the ceiling dimension.
Collected a crate stamped with that wing-symbol—client paid extra and then wouldn’t speak my name.
Cleaned strange, black-feathered debris off a stoop at 3AM. Felt like ash but wasn’t.
Helped an old woman hang a charm above her door after she swore someone was watching from the alley.

Mysterious Sightings Log

\n\n

The Alley Lights

White-gold pulses. Appeared in 2020, 2022, 2025. The 2025 pulse synced with the first time my wings moved on their own.

\n\n

The Figure on the Rooftops

Cloaked, silent. Once seen alone, now seen in groups. Movement like bad frames in a corrupted video.

\n\n

Symbols Under the City

Carved in metal and forgotten tiles—wing-like shapes and looping sigils. Found near subway vents and broken manhole covers.

\n\n

Tall Thing (Witnessed)

Described by two witnesses as too tall, long-limbed, moving with pauses where the world skipped. One witness said it hummed in a frequency that made her teeth ache.

About Yours Truly

\n\n

Name: Bugsy Kuro (probably) \nOccupation: Anything that pays \nLocation: Empire City — the city that never sleeps because it’s scared of itself

\n\n

I started this blog to keep track of things I couldn’t explain and to keep myself from talking to pigeons about it all night. Now it’s less stupid notes and more a public journal because, well, I guess I don’t want to be surprised alone.

New: Areas Marked by Symbol

I've started marking places where I find the wing-symbol. Subway vents, alleyways, the rusted door behind old laundromats. People joke about ghost tours; I call them breadcrumbs.

\n\n

Posted: Two weeks before the whole “black wings” situation.

\n\n

Alright, so—Bugsy here. This song calms me, keeps the commute from eating my brain. Lime Ricky made it while commuting between places. I technically have apartments in both cities, so this track’s a bridge.

THE IT FILE (redacted notes)

\n\n

Dec 6, 2025 — Compiled notes from sightings, feathers, and the thing that follows me. If someone else is reading this—keep it quiet. If someone else finds this, they probably already know too much.

\n\n

Feathers: black, warm, not entirely organic. Collected three. One disappeared from the shoebox overnight.
Light pulses: rhythmic. Matches a heart rate at times, and the city's low hum at others.
Figures: cloak, elongated limbs, moves in jumps where reality stutters.
Hypothesis: The wings are a marker. They attracted attention. Or they are auditioning me.

\n\n\n\n\n/* END OF FILE SET */\n\n## 🎄 Christmas Update — December 25, 2025\n\n**Post Title:** *Merry Whatever This Is*\n\nI don’t really celebrate Christmas the way I used to.\nEmpire City doesn’t slow down just because the calendar says it should.\n\nI tried, though.\nPut up a tiny plastic tree. Lights flickered like they were nervous.\nMade instant cocoa on a hot plate that definitely violates three building codes.\n\nThe wings? They don’t like the cold.\nThey twitch when the wind cuts between buildings.\nI wrapped them in an old coat and sat by the window watching snow fall between neon signs.\n\nThen I saw **it** again.\nAcross the street. On the fire escape.\nNot moving. Just… observing.\n\nI waved. (Bad idea.)\nIt tilted its head like it was confused why I was pretending things were normal.\n\nIf this is what passes for peace now, I’ll take it.\nMerry Christmas. If you’re reading this — stay warm.\n\n---\n\n## 📆 January Update — January 9, 2026\n\n**Post Title:** *Still Here. Guess That Counts.*\n\nNew year. Same city. Same rent.\n\nThe wings are part of the routine now.\nI plan around them. Sleep around them. Buy jackets two sizes too big.\nPeople stare, but Empire City has seen worse.\n\n**It’s still following me.**\nBut it’s not rushing anymore.\nFeels like it’s waiting.\nLike this is a test I don’t remember signing up for.\n\nI catalog sightings. I take odd jobs. I ride the commute between Empire City and Port City with Lime Ricky’s track in my ears.\n\nI’m not a hero.\nI’m not chosen.\nI’m just a guy who got wings and didn’t disappear.\n\nIf that’s enough to survive this year?\nThen yeah.\nI’ll keep blogging.\n\n\n---\n\n## 🔥 Field Update — Late January 2026\n\n**Post Title:** *Yeah, So Hell Is Real. And They Have Contractors.*\n\nI’ve been chronicling the weird for a while now, but this one earns its own entry.\n\nCouple nights ago, I clocked a hit going down that didn’t feel local. Too clean in the setup, too messy in the execution. Turns out it was **I.M.P.** — yeah, *that* I.M.P. from Hell. Assassins. Contractors. Business casual murder.\n\nOne of the imps didn’t make it. I won’t get into details, but Empire City chews up outsiders faster than locals. Even demons.\n\nThe woman on the team — **Millie** — efficient, deadly, and honestly? Kind of sloppy. Overkill where it wasn’t needed. Blood pattern said she rushed. Maybe got emotional. Happens.\n\nAnd before anyone asks: yeah, she’s attractive. I noticed. I’m not blind.\nBut I also noticed the axe, the temper, and the way she smiled *after* the job.\n\nSo no. I didn’t approach her.\nI’m average, winged or not. I like staying alive.\n\nThey vanished back to wherever they came from, and the thing that’s been following me? It watched them leave. Didn’t interfere. Like it was taking notes.\n\nThat’s the part that keeps me up.\n\nIf Hell has freelancers in Empire City, and *it* doesn’t see them as competition… then whatever’s stalking me is playing a longer game than I thought.\n\nLogging this here in case I disappear.\nIf anyone from I.M.P. reads this — no hard feelings. Just… clean it up next time.\n\n\n---\n\n## 🗂️ TRANSCRIPTS\n\n### Transcript Log — Late January 2026\n**Location:** Empire City, off-grid café (closed) \n**Recorder:** *Lil Cal 9000* (autonomous note-taking unit)\n\n> **Bugsy:** …So you saw the post.\n\n> **Millie:** Oh I saw it, sugar. Internet travels fast. Even to Hell.\n\n> **Bugsy:** For what it’s worth, I said you were attractive, not reckless.\n\n> **Millie:** (snorts) Same difference on the job. You were right though. I rushed.\n\n> **Bugsy:** I didn’t approach you. Seemed like a good way to die.\n\n> **Millie:** Smart call.\n\n> **Bugsy:** You mentioned one of your team didn’t make it.\n\n> **Millie:** Moxxie.\n\n> **Bugsy:** …I’m sorry. Your boyfriend—\n\n> **Millie:** Husband.\n\n> **Bugsy:** Right. I’m sorry. Truly.\n\n> **Millie:** Group that keeps chasing us finally caught up. Military types. They call themselves **D.O.R.K.S.**\n\n> **Bugsy:** That’s what they call themselves? *Dorks?*\n\n> **Millie:** Acronym. They love acronyms.\n\n> **Bugsy:** Still. Sucks that your husband died.\n\n> **Millie:** It does.\n\n> **Bugsy:** …Since you’re here, and nothing’s actively exploding, we could hang out for a bit. Coffee’s terrible but it’s hot.\n\n> **Millie:** Heh. Yeah. I could use a minute where nobody’s shooting.\n\n> **[END TRANSCRIPT]**\n\n*Note:* This transcript was captured and formatted by **Lil Cal 9000**, a personal assistant unit designed and maintained by Bugsy. Minor latency and tonal inference applied automatically.\n\n","link_url","/p/e8ukrlta_8opum3xp746","versioned_link_url","/p/e8ukrlta_8opum3xp746/7","yapping","**Checking document consistency**\n\nThe user provided a large combined document. It seems their existing files mostly match, but there are differences. Some navigation links are missing to the new pages, and the 2025.html file is missing newer posts, but it looks like those entries are actually included in current_page. The main difference appears to be an audio source mismatch—user wants \"Empire Commute.wav,\" but the combined snippet uses \"empirecommute.mp3.\" Current related pages are already updated with the correct links.\n**Clarifying required updates**\n\nThe filesystem confirms that littlepieceofhome.html correctly uses Empire Commute.wav. It seems the user may want to update other HTML pages to link stylesheets via style.css, which is mostly already true, but not in some files. The navigation for 2020.html includes links that match the current files, so no changes are needed there. The user's combined document has new posts and a transcript, but the actual 2025.html lacks the transcript section. It seems I need to add the three posts and consider where the transcript should go.\n**Planning transcript addition**\n\nIt looks like the change needed is to append a transcript section to 2025.html, or possibly create a new page for it. The combined document indicates this section should go right after existing posts. I’ll need to modify 2025.html by adding the transcript HTML below the last post titled \"Yeah, So Hell Is Real...\". I’ll do this by searching for the end of that last paragraph and inserting the new HTML before the closing tags. I’ll grab the last lines from current_page for this update.\n**Crafting transcript addition**\n\nI'm going to replace the last part of 2025.html with the transcript section, ensuring the formatting aligns with the existing CRT style. I'll also craft the necessary HTML for the transcript, adding headings and keeping it strictly as content. So, I'll summarize the change in one sentence and provide the code block for the update. Then, I’ll wrap up with a short tweet-length summary of the adjustment. \n\nThe change involves appending a transcript section before the closing in 2025.html. \n```html\n

If anyone from I.M.P. reads this — no hard feelings. Just… clean it up next time.
