New Section

',\n css: 'h2 { color: blue; }',\n js: ''\n}\n\nWhen a component is dragged, store these in the dataTransfer object. Since dataTransfer can only store strings, perhaps stringify the component's data.\n\nBut during dragstart, we can set the dataTransfer data as JSON.\n\nAdd event listeners to the component elements in the palette to handle dragstart:\n\ncomponentElement.addEventListener('dragstart', (e) => {\n e.dataTransfer.setData('text/plain', JSON.stringify(componentData));\n});\n\nThen, in the drop event handler:\n\nconst data = e.dataTransfer.getData('text/plain');\nconst component = JSON.parse(data);\n\nThen, update the editors' values with the component's html, css, js.\n\nBut need to ensure that each editor's content is updated, not just HTML.\n\nNow, in the app.js, after modifying the HTools to support multiple editors, adding the component palette and drag and drop.\n\nFirst, update the HTML to include the component palette. Add a sidebar with draggable components. The existing HTML has a quick-tools section, but the user may want a dedicated components panel.\n\nSo, add a new section in the HTML for the component palette:\n\n

Components

\n Header\n

🔘

\n Button\n

\n \n

\nEach component has data-component indicating which component it is. Then, in the app.js, map these to their respective HTML, CSS, JS.\n\nNext, in the HTools class, add methods to handle drag and drop:\n\nsetupDragAndDrop() {\n const components = document.querySelectorAll('.component');\n components.forEach(component => {\n component.addEventListener('dragstart', (e) => {\n const componentType = component.dataset.component;\n const componentData = this.getComponentData(componentType);\n e.dataTransfer.setData('text/plain', JSON.stringify(componentData));\n e.dataTransfer.effectAllowed = 'copy';\n });\n });\n\nconst dropZone = document.querySelector('.preview-container');\n dropZone.addEventListener('dragover', (e) => {\n e.preventDefault();\n e.dataTransfer.dropEffect = 'copy';\n });\n\ndropZone.addEventListener('drop', (e) => {\n e.preventDefault();\n const data = e.dataTransfer.getData('text/plain');\n const componentData = JSON.parse(data);\n this.insertComponent(componentData);\n });\n}\n\ngetComponentData(type) {\n const components = {\n header: {\n html: '

New Header

',\n css: 'h1 { color: var(--primary); font-family: system-ui; }',\n js: ''\n },\n button: {\n html: '',\n css: '.custom-btn { background: var(--secondary); color: white; padding: 0.5em 1em; border: none; border-radius: 4px; }',\n js: 'document.querySelector(\".custom-btn\").addEventListener(\"click\", () => alert(\"Button clicked!\"));'\n }\n // More components\n };\n return components[type] || {};\n}\n\ninsertComponent({ html, css, js }) {\n // Update HTML editor\n const htmlValue = this.htmlEditor.getValue() + '\\n' + html;\n this.htmlEditor.setValue(htmlValue);\n\n// Update CSS editor\n const cssValue = this.cssEditor.getValue() + '\\n' + css;\n this.cssEditor.setValue(cssValue);\n\n// Update JS editor\n const jsValue = this.jsEditor.getValue() + '\\n' + js;\n this.jsEditor.setValue(jsValue);\n\nthis.updatePreview();\n}\n\nThen, modify the initEditor to create three CodeMirror instances for HTML, CSS, JS.\n\nBut the existing CodeMirror is initialized with mode 'htmlmixed' and linked to a textarea. For multiple editors, perhaps have divs for each editor and initialize CodeMirror on them.\n\nIn the HTML, perhaps have:\n\n

\n \n \n \n

\n \n

\nThen, in initEditor(), create CodeMirror instances for each editor div:\n\ninitEditor() {\n // HTML Editor\n this.htmlEditor = CodeMirror(document.querySelector('.html-editor'), {\n lineNumbers: true,\n mode: 'htmlmixed',\n theme: 'default',\n value: '\\n

Hello Web Creator!

'\n });\n\n// CSS Editor\n this.cssEditor = CodeMirror(document.querySelector('.css-editor'), {\n lineNumbers: true,\n mode: 'css',\n theme: 'default',\n value: 'body { padding: 20px; font-family: system-ui; }'\n });\n\n// JS Editor\n this.jsEditor = CodeMirror(document.querySelector('.js-editor'), {\n lineNumbers: true,\n mode: 'javascript',\n theme: 'default',\n value: '// JavaScript code here'\n });\n\n// Set active editor\n this.activeEditor = this.htmlEditor;\n this.htmlEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = 'block';\n this.cssEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = 'none';\n this.jsEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = 'none';\n\n// Handle changes\n this.htmlEditor.on('change', () => this.updatePreview());\n this.cssEditor.on('change', () => this.updatePreview());\n this.jsEditor.on('change', () => this.updatePreview());\n}\n\nThen, in setupEventListeners(), add handling for tab clicks to switch active editors:\n\nsetupEventListeners() {\n // Existing code...\n\n// Tab switching\n document.querySelectorAll('.code-tabs button').forEach(btn => {\n btn.addEventListener('click', () => {\n const editorType = btn.dataset.editor;\n this.setActiveEditor(editorType);\n });\n });\n\n// Drag and drop\n this.setupDragAndDrop();\n}\n\nsetActiveEditor(editorType) {\n document.querySelectorAll('.code-tabs button').forEach(btn => {\n btn.classList.toggle('active', btn.dataset.editor === editorType);\n });\n\nthis.htmlEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = editorType === 'html' ? 'block' : 'none';\n this.cssEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = editorType === 'css' ? 'block' : 'none';\n this.jsEditor.getWrapperElement().style.display = editorType === 'js' ? 'block' : 'none';\n this.activeEditor = editorType === 'html' ? this.htmlEditor : \n editorType === 'css' ? this.cssEditor : \n this.jsEditor;\n}\n\nThen, in updatePreview(), instead of getCSS(), use the CSS and JS editors' values:\n\nupdatePreview() {\n const preview = document.getElementById('preview');\n const htmlContent = this.htmlEditor.getValue();\n const cssContent = this.cssEditor.getValue();\n const jsContent = this.jsEditor.getValue();\n preview.srcdoc = `\n \n \n \n ${htmlContent}\n \n \n `;\n}\n\nBut in the HTML, the 'codeEditor' textarea is still present but hidden. Since we're now using divs for CodeMirror instances, the textarea is redundant. So remove it from the HTML:\n\nRemove \n\nThen, adjust the CSS to style the editors:\n\n.editor-container .CodeMirror {\n height: 400px;\n}\n\n.editor {\n display: none;\n}\n\n.editor.active {\n display: block;\n}\n\nAlso, ensure that the .editor-container has enough height.\n\nBut in mobile, 400px height might be too much. Perhaps set a dynamic height using viewport units.\n\nNow, handling the component palette drag and drop, as before.\n\nTesting all of this, I think this approach should work. The user can now drag components from the palette into the preview area, which adds the corresponding HTML, CSS, JS to the editors. TheCodeMirror instances update and the preview reflects the changes.\n\nAdditionally, there might be visual feedback issues during drag and drop. To improve this, add CSS classes to the drop zone when dragging over, for example, highlighting the area.\n\nAdd CSS:\n\n.drop-zone {\n position: relative;\n}\n\n.drop-zone-overlay {\n position: absolute;\n top: 0;\n left: 0;\n width: 100%;\n height: 100%;\n pointer-events: none;\n background: rgba(100, 100, 255, 0.1);\n border: 2px dashed var(--secondary);\n display: none;\n}\n\n.drop-zone.dragover .drop-zone-overlay {\n display: block;\n}\n\nThen, in the HTML, the preview-container div would have the drop-zone class and the overlay div:\n\n

\n ...\n

\n \n

\nIn the setupDragAndDrop method, add event listeners to toggle the dragover class:\n\ndropZone.addEventListener('dragover', (e) => {\n e.preventDefault();\n e.dataTransfer.dropEffect = 'copy';\n dropZone.classList.add('dragover');\n});\n\ndropZone.addEventListener('dragleave', (e) => {\n e.preventDefault();\n dropZone.classList.remove('dragover');\n});\n\ndropZone.addEventListener('drop', (e) => {\n e.preventDefault();\n dropZone.classList.remove('dragover');\n // Handle drop...\n});\n\nNow, when dragging a component over the drop zone, the overlay appears.\n\nTesting this, the drag and drop part should work, and the editors update when components are dropped, triggering the preview to refresh.\n\nBut how to handle if the JS added by components causes errors or overlaps? The user might need to manually adjust the JS. However, for a basic builder, this should be acceptable.\n\nFinally, in the existing code, there is a quick-tools section with cards for HTML Minifier and CSS Formatter. The user's new instruction is about a drag-and-drop builder, but those existing tools are probably not needed. However, per the user's instruction to add the drag-and-drop to the existing code, we need to leave those as is or integrate them.\n\nBut in the current code, clicking on those tool cards shows an alert. The user might want these tools implemented, but the current prompt is about the drag-and-drop builder. So, perhaps leave them as placeholders for future implementation.\n\nIntegrate the component palette into the HTML, possibly in a new section or sidebar.\n\nBut given the mobile constraint, we need the component palette to be mobile-friendly. Maybe position the components in a horizontally scrollable grid or a dropdown menu.\n\nIn the CSS, adjust the .component-palette and .components-grid to ensure mobile responsiveness.\n\n.component-palette {\n padding: 1rem;\n}\n\n.components-grid {\n display: grid;\n grid-template-columns: repeat(auto-fill, minmax(120px, 1fr));\n gap: 1rem;\n}\n\n.component {\n background: white;\n padding: 1rem;\n border-radius: 8px;\n box-shadow: 0 2px 6px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);\n text-align: center;\n cursor: grab;\n user-select: none;\n}\n\n.component:active {\n cursor: grabbing;\n}\n\n.component-icon {\n font-size: 2rem;\n margin-bottom: 0.5rem;\n}\n\nOn mobile, the components will flex into a grid that's scrollable if necessary.\n\nPutting it all together, the updated code includes multiple editors, a component palette with drag-and-drop, and syncing between code and visual editors.\n\nPotential Issues:\n\n- The drop event might not be positioned correctly in the iframe's content. For example, the user expect to drop the component at a specific location in the preview, but the current code appends to the end of the HTML editor without considering positioning. To handle positioning, would need to translate the drop coordinates into where to insert the HTML, which is complicated. But given time constraints and complexity, it's acceptable to append to the end for now.\n\n- CSS and JS added by components could conflict with existing code. For example, multiple buttons might add the same class. This can be handled by using unique class names, but that's more complex. For simplicity, using a 'custom-' prefix or similar.\n\n- The mobile layout might need adjustments for the new component palette. Using grid layout with auto-fill and media queries can help.\n\nThus, the final code adds drag-and-drop functionality, modifies the editor to support HTML/CSS/JS, includes a component palette, and ensures syncing between code and preview.\n\n```index.html\n```\n\n```styles.css\n```\n\n```app.js\n```\n","page_description","The page features a visual web development tool called HTP Web Tools, offering a user-friendly interface for building web pages using drag-and-drop…","cursor","eyJpZCI6ImFkZmYzNDdvY3dqZjhlc2hoXzdiIn0","token","included",[],"about",{"_184":-5},"parent","routes/browser/layout","actionData","errors"]
