I can use room.requestPresenceUpdate to prompt a client to leave, but that approach isn't ideal since the UI can only work locally with window.location.reload. Instead, I’ll send an 'admin-kick' event with the targetId, which lets the target handle the event and maybe set a flag to prevent rejoining. Also, I need a ban list in roomState. I want to keep track of banned usernames for public VMs.\n**Updating UI for admin controls**\n\nI'm focusing on how to properly update the user interface for admin controls in the VM. I'll adjust ui.updateUserList to append buttons for admin functionalities. To enforce the admin-only VM restriction, I need to compute canModerate, ensuring it accounts for whether the user is an admin and if they're allowed in non-admin-only VMs. \n\nWhen handling messages like 'admin-kick', I must ensure they're enforced by admin clients. I'm also checking for banned usernames before connecting to public VMs to prevent access for banned users. Lastly, I'll ensure that banned users can't rejoin in future sessions as roomState persists.\n**Updating connection and ban checks**\n\nI'm working on updating all the button calls related to connecting to VMs. For the public and private buttons, I’ll call `vm.connectToVM` with the correct parameters. The createAdminBtn will set the state for admin-only VMs and connect as well. \n\nI'll also update the joinPublicBtn to check for bans after initialization and compute if the current username is on the banned list, alerting if necessary. Additionally, I’ll modify `ui.updateUserList` to add moderation buttons, and I'll adjust their styling for consistency. Lastly, I need to add case handling for 'admin-kick' in room.onmessage.\n**Implementing ban handling functions**\n\nI see that I need to create functions to manage the ban click feature. In `ui.updateUserList`, I’ll make sure to call `room.updateRoomState` as well. Since `ui.js` already imports room and state, this integration should be smooth. \n\nI also considered if we should remove a user from presence for clarity, but it seems I can't do that. The kick event will reload the state anyway. When joining a public VM, I’ll reset `state.isAdminOnlyVM` to false. Time to write those patches!\n\nI will add admin-only kick/ban controls in the user list, enforce bans on joining the public VM, and restrict moderation in admin-only VMs so only @PandyTheGamerr can kick/ban there.\n\njs/state.js\n\n```js/state.js\n```\n\njs/vm.js\n```js/vm.js\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n ui.hidePartyLobbyUI();\n dom.landing.style.display = 'none';\n dom.vmView.style.display = 'block';\n dom.loadingOverlay.style.display = 'grid';\n state.isInPublicVM = isPublic;\n state.isInPrivateVM = !isPublic && !state.isPartyMember;\n state.currentVmUrl = url;\n=======\n ui.hidePartyLobbyUI();\n dom.landing.style.display = 'none';\n dom.vmView.style.display = 'block';\n dom.loadingOverlay.style.display = 'grid';\n state.isInPublicVM = isPublic;\n state.isInPrivateVM = !isPublic && !state.isPartyMember;\n state.isAdminOnlyVM = !!isAdminOnly;\n state.currentVmUrl = url;\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n if (isPublic) state.previousPublicUrl = url;\n=======\n if (isPublic) state.previousPublicUrl = url;\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\njs/events.js\n```js/events.js\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n state.isInPartyLobby = false;\n state.isPartyMember = false;\n state.isPartyHost = false;\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false);\n=======\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n state.isInPartyLobby = false;\n state.isPartyMember = false;\n state.isPartyHost = false;\n state.isAdminOnlyVM = false;\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false, false);\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n try {\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n state.isInPartyLobby = false;\n state.isPartyMember = false;\n state.isPartyHost = false;\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false);\n=======\n try {\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n state.isInPartyLobby = false;\n state.isPartyMember = false;\n state.isPartyHost = false;\n state.isAdminOnlyVM = true;\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false, true);\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false);\n=======\n const url = await api.fetchVMUrl();\n await vm.connectToVM(url, false, state.isAdminOnlyVM);\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n case 'restart-public-selected': {\n const sel = data.selectedClientId;\n if (sel === room.clientId) {\n vm.restartPublicVMImmediate();\n }\n break;\n }\n default:\n break;\n }\n };\n=======\n case 'restart-public-selected': {\n const sel = data.selectedClientId;\n if (sel === room.clientId) {\n vm.restartPublicVMImmediate();\n }\n break;\n }\n case 'admin-kick': {\n if (data.targetId === room.clientId) {\n alert('You were kicked by an admin.');\n window.location.reload();\n }\n break;\n }\n default:\n break;\n }\n };\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\njs/roomSetup.js\n```js/roomSetup.js\n```\n\n```\n<<<<<<< SEARCH\n if (state.isInPublicVM && s.publicVMUrl && s.publicVMUrl !== state.previousPublicUrl) {\n vm.connectToVM(s.publicVMUrl, true);\n }\n=======\n if (state.isInPublicVM && s.publicVMUrl && s.publicVMUrl !== state.previousPublicUrl) {\n vm.connectToVM(s.publicVMUrl, true, false);\n }\n>>>>>>> REPLACE\n```\n\njs/ui.js\n```js/ui.js\n```\n\nSummary: I added an `isAdminOnlyVM` flag, wired `connectToVM` and join flows to track admin-only sessions, injected kick/ban buttons into the public VM user list for admins (with bans enforced on public join), and restricted moderation in admin-only VMs so only @PandyTheGamerr can kick or ban while everyone else just sees the list.","page_description","The page is a web application that offers collaborative virtual machines directly in the browser.
