Gallery of Nonsense

\nIn the CSS, add styles for #gallery, maybe a grid layout for the entries.\n\nIn the JavaScript, add variables:\n\nlet galleryEntries = [];\nlet lastAbbrev = '';\nlet lastExpansion = '';\n\nModify the guessAbbreviation function to set lastAbbrev and lastExpansion when a completion is received.\n\nThen, the sendToGallery function:\n\nfunction sendToGallery() {\n if (lastAbbrev && lastExpansion) {\n galleryEntries.push({ abbrev: lastAbbrev, expansion: lastExpansion });\n // Optional: Show a confirmation or update the gallery display\n }\n}\n\nThe toggleGallery function:\n\nfunction toggleGallery() {\n const gallery = document.getElementById('gallery');\n gallery.style.display = gallery.style.display === 'none' ? 'block' : 'none';\n if (gallery.style.display === 'block') {\n displayGallery();\n }\n}\n\nAnd displayGallery function to populate the galleryEntries div:\n\nfunction displayGallery() {\n const entriesDiv = document.getElementById('galleryEntries');\n entriesDiv.innerHTML = galleryEntries.map(entry => `\n

\n ${entry.abbrev.toUpperCase()}: ${entry.expansion}\n

\n `).join('');\n}\n\nAlso, add CSS for .gallery-entry with some padding, background, etc.\n\nPotential issues: What if the user sends the same entry multiple times? The gallery will show duplicates. The user might want that, or maybe not. Since the user didn't specify, proceed as is.\n\nTesting edge cases: If the user clicks \"Send to Gallery\" without generating anything, nothing happens. If they generate, then send, then generate another, then send again, both are added.\n\nNow, integrating all this into the existing code. Let's adjust the HTML first.\n\nIn the body, after the result div and smiley, add the View Gallery button and the gallery container.\n\nAlso, add the Send to Gallery button next to the existing button.\n\nSo:\n\n\n\n\nThen, after the smiley div:\n\n\n

Gallery of Nonsense

\nIn the CSS, add:\n\n#gallery {\n margin-top: 2rem;\n border-top: 2px solid #ff6b6b;\n padding: 1rem;\n}\n\n.gallery-entry {\n background: #fff3f3;\n padding: 1rem;\n margin: 1rem 0;\n border-radius: 5px;\n text-align: left;\n}\n\n#galleryEntries {\n display: grid;\n gap: 1rem;\n}\n\nAlso, style the new buttons to match the existing ones. The existing button has a red background. Maybe make the new buttons different colors to distinguish them. For example, \"Send to Gallery\" could be green, \"View Gallery\" blue.\n\nIn the CSS:\n\nbutton {\n font-size: 1.2rem;\n padding: 0.5rem 1rem;\n border: none;\n border-radius: 5px;\n color: white;\n cursor: pointer;\n margin: 0.5rem;\n}\n\nbutton:nth-child(1) {\n background: #ff6b6b;\n}\n\nbutton:nth-child(2) {\n background: #4CAF50;\n}\n\nbutton:nth-child(3) {\n background: #2196F3;\n}\n\nWait, but the order of buttons matters. The first button is \"Make Up a Meaning\", the second \"Send to Gallery\", the third \"View Gallery\". So using nth-child might not be reliable if the structure changes. Alternatively, assign classes to the buttons.\n\nBut to keep it simple, maybe adjust the button styles:\n\nChange the existing button style to a class:\n\n\n\n...\n\n\nThen in CSS:\n\n.generate-btn {\n background: #ff6b6b;\n}\n\n.send-btn {\n background: #4CAF50;\n}\n\n.view-btn {\n background: #2196F3;\n}\n\nBut the user's existing code uses inline styles for the button. Wait, looking at the current HTML:\n\nThe existing button has:\n\n\n\nWait no, in the current code, the button's style is defined in the style tag:\n\nbutton {\n font-size: 1.2rem;\n padding: 0.5rem 1rem;\n background: #ff6b6b;\n border: none;\n border-radius: 5px;\n color: white;\n cursor: pointer;\n}\n\nSo all buttons have the same red background. To differentiate, need to add specific classes or inline styles.\n\nAlternatively, modify the CSS to target the new buttons with different colors. But that's tricky. Maybe add classes:\n\nIn the HTML:\n\n\n\n\nThen in CSS:\n\n.generate-btn {\n background: #ff6b6b;\n}\n\n.send-btn {\n background: #4CAF50;\n}\n\n.view-btn {\n background: #2196F3;\n}\n\nAnd the View Gallery button:\n\n\n\nThis way, each button has a distinct color.\n\nNow, in the JavaScript, adding the sendToGallery and toggleGallery functions, and the variables.\n\nAlso, in the guessAbbreviation function, after getting the completion, set lastAbbrev and lastExpansion.\n\nTesting for possible errors: If the user clicks \"Send to Gallery\" without generating anything, nothing is added. If they generate, then send, it's added. Multiple sends add multiple entries.\n\nFinally, the gallery display. When \"View Gallery\" is clicked, the gallery is toggled, and the entries are displayed.\n\nPutting it all together, the changes to index.html would include:\n\n- Adding the new buttons\n- Adding the gallery div\n- Updating the CSS for buttons and gallery\n- Adding the JavaScript variables and functions\n\nNow, writing the code changes accordingly.\n\n```index.html\n```\n","page_description","The page is an interactive web tool designed to create humorous and absurd interpretations of commonly known abbreviations.
